Nike – Brand Design Magazine
Nike’s Global Brand Design team needed a way to name and claim the work it produced.
Oftentimes authorship of work in such a large matrixed org can be challenging. The magazine was a vessel to celebrate the work, the process and the team. It was also a tangible way for the global Nike design community to truly work together on the same project, and to showcase global and local work.
I set a simple template that would allow each team to express their project in a bespoke way but with enough ‘rules’ to make it cohesive. Issue #1 featured above was designed and produced but the Nike Global Brand Design Team in Portland. Issue #2 was produced by the Europe team, and #3 by Greater China.
